Gujarat gets 8 new Express trains

Gujarat has got eight new express trains in the 2012-2013 Railway budget. In addition four new trains would run through the state. Railway Minister Dinesh Trivedi also announced two new Memu trains and one DEMU train.

 

The new Express trains are:

Bandra (T) - Bhuj AC express (tri-weekly)

Ahmedabad- Ajmer Intercity Express (Daily)

Valsad- Jodhpur Express (Weekly) via Viramgam

Ahmedabad- Gorakhpur Express (Weekly)

Gandhidham- Bandra Express (Weekly)

Shalimar- Bhuj Express (Weekly)

Malda town- Surat Express (Weekly)

Dwarka- Somnath Express (Daily)

In adiditon following trains would run via Gujarat

Coimbatore- Bikaner AC (Weekly) train via Ahmedabad

Bandra (T)- Delhi Sarai Rohilla (Weekly) via Palanpur

Bikaner- Bandra (T) (Weekly) train via Ahmedabad

The minister also announced two new Memu trains. They are from the constituency of Minister of State Railways Bharat Solanki. The new trains are Dahod- Anand and Anand- Gandhinagar.

A DEMU train Pratapnagar- Chhota Udepur has also been announced.
