Senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley has been nominated for Rajya Sabha from Gujarat.

Jaitley who is leader of opposition in the RS will have his second term from Gujarat. This has put an end to speculation about Jaitley moving from the state due to strained relations with Chief Minister Narendra Modi.

The other two candidates are likely to be announced on Monday after the Mansa by-polls on Sunday. The opposition Congress is also likely to announce its candidate in a day or two. Four MPs from the state are retiring on March 31. The last date for filing nomination is Monday.
