11 IAS officers transferred

The Gujarat government has transferred 11 IAS officers. Some of the transfers are to important posts overlooking implementation of key projects.

DK Rao has been appointed as secretary of the Gujarat Human Rights Commission. He was member-secretary of the Gujarat Khadi Gramudyog Board, a post which now goes to O Ravi who is back from central deputation.

Sangeeta Singh has been appointed as the principal secretary, education, in charge of primary education. Her post as commissioner and principal secretary of woman and child development goes to Anju Sharma.

VS Gadhvi, managing director of GMDC, has been transferred as the commissioner of Land Reforms and ex-officio principal secretary of theRevenue Department. He will also hold the charge of the GMDC.

R P Gupta will be the rural development commissioner, as the post was vacant after Rita Teotia left on deputation to Delhi. Anis Mankad is now director of State Rural Health Mission and R C Meena is state tribal development commissioner.
