Passport applications to be accepted online only

Gujarat Global News Network, Ahmedabad

From today onwards will not accept manual submission of fresh passport application forms at the local deputy superintendent offices.

Regional passport officer Z A Khan said that all applicants from these districts of Gandhinagar, Patan, Kheda, Patan, Anand, Panchmahal, Banaskantha and others will have to submit their application forms online and then approach their respective jurisdictional Passport Sewa Kendra (PSK) for further procedures after taking appointments online. 

Also from June 18, there will be a dedicated queue for the senior citizens in every PSK. Another facility extended to them is that senior citizens and kids up to the age of five can walk-in to their PSK, without taking a prior appointment.
