Aravalli joins the list of new districts in Gujarat

The list of new districts which got another member on Thursday with Chief Minister Narendra Modi announcing the creation of a new district, Aravalli.
The new district will be carved out of Sabarkantha district. Modi also announced the creation of a new taluka — Poshina — which, along with Khedbrahma, Idar, Vadali, Bhiloda and Vijaynagar talukas of Sabarkantha district, will form the new Aravalli district.
The new district will come into existence from 26th January 2013.
The announcement of the new district was made by Modi at the third leg of the Swami Vivekananda Yuva Vikas Yatra from Ambaji. Earlier in the day, he had addressed a large gathering of youth at the Vivekananda Yuva Parishad in Rajkot.
“The Congress has lost faith in democracy. It is criticizing all constitutional authorities like CAG and also the media. Congress ministers say that the CAG is useless because it has pointed out the coal scam,” Modi said. The chief minister also praised the development work done in the tribal belt by his government.
