The Bangalore police have arrested a woman for posing as an employee of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).  The woman was trying to enter the high-security satellite centre of the Indian space agency located at New BEL Road.

The woman has been identified as Jula N. Sam, a native of Ahmedabad. Police said Ms. Jula had visited Kollam in Kerala to attend the last rites of her father on September 19 and after that, came to Bangalore the same night and stayed at ISRO’s guest house at Jeevan Beemanagar, around 10 km from the ISRO headquarters, by producing a fake ID card. On September 21, she tried to enter a meeting at the ISRO headquarters using the fake ID.

Bangalore police has filed a case of trespassing into high-security zone on forged documents against the woman under sections 448 & 471 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). She has been sent to 14-day judicial custody.
