Modi’s minister faces code of conduct violation charge

Election Commission has issued notice to Agriculture Minister Dilip Sanghani to explain his conduct of inauguration of road work in Amreli District. He inaugurated the work after declaration of schedule of Assembly election and enforcement of code of conduct by the Election Commission.

Chief Election Officer Anita Karwal said that the EC had received a video in which Sanghani was seen laying foundation of road work of Amreli Municipality. She said that he was also seen making an appeal to people to vote for him on December 13.

Sanghani will have to give his reply to the EC in Delhi in writing on October 15. On the basis of his reply the EC decide on action against Sanghani.
