The CBI today filed charge sheet against former Minister of State for Home Amit Shah and 20 others in Tulsi Prajapati encounter case.
All the accused have been directed to appear in the court on October 29. The hearing of the case has been scheduled for Oct.12
Along with Shah the CBI has named IPS officers Geetha Johari and O P Mathur in its charge sheet. It may be recalled that Shah, a trusted Modi aide has returned to the state recently after a two year exile period. He is accused in Sohrabuddin fake encounter case and the court had granted him bail with a condition that he was not allowed to enter Gujarat.
But the Supreme Court lifted this condition and Shah came 10 days back to his home state. With Assembly elections in December Shah’s arrival is seen as relief for Chief Minister Narendra Modi. But possibilities of his re arrest in Prajapati fake encounter case cannot be ruled out.
