Sanjay Joshi’s ‘Personal’ Visit gives BJP jitters

While Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi is busy taking potshots at Sonai Gandhi, trouble seems to be brewing back home in Gujarat. Modi’s bete noire Sanjay Joshi’s ‘personal’ visit to Ahmedabad has created quite a storm in BJP’s state unit.
This was Joshi’s fourth visit to the state since he had to resign from the BJP post due to Modi. Joshi attended private function at the residence of former BJP MLA from Ellisbridge Bhavin Sheth on Sunday. He refused to speak on Modi and said, “I have come here for a function at Sheth’s house and will be going to Surat in evening.”
Joshi also visited RSS officer at Maningar and the residence of former state home minister Haren Pandya. He also went to the residence of personnel assistant Mumukshu Mehta who lost his mother recently.
Joshi’s movement in the state is being closely monitored by the BJP. Even though he has refrained from making any political moves, there is large speculation in the BJP that he has been gaining the support of the Anti-Modi camp of the state BJP.
