A fast track court here today rejected anticipatory bail of Congress MP Vitthal Radadia who had brandished his gun at toll plaza near Karjan.
The MP maintained his stand in the court that toll employees had misbehaved and he had pulled out the gun in self defence.
The court rejected his plea as taking in cognizance other criminal cases filed against him in the past. On October 12 Radadia had threatened employees at toll plaza when he was asked for original identity card. The entire scene was captured in CCTV camera installed at the plaza.
The city police had filed a case of threatening and rioting against the MP. Radadia said that he was being victimized by the Modi government ahead of state elections.
