Congress is defeated by Congressmen only: Ahmed Patel

Ahmed Patel senior Congress leader and political advisor to UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi exhorted party workers to put up a united fight against the BJP in the forthcoming Assembly elections.
“Congress is defeated by Congressmen only”, he remarked.
Addressing party workers in Bharuch he said that in four years Congress workers remain united but as soon as ticket distribution starts their differences surface in an ugly manner and workers stop working. This is not the correct way. Today the need is to uproot BJP in Gujarat and party workers will have to work unitedly, Patel said.
Referring to ticket distribution he said that it would be decided by state leaders. The party high command in Delhi would not interfere, he claimed. Congress this time was more mature than in 2002 and 2007 elections.
He lambasted Chief Minister Narendra Modi without naming him saying that he was spreading all kinds of lies. The state government had failed on all fronts, he said.
