Non subsidized LPG price up by Rs 26.50

The price of non-subsidized LPG cylinder has been increased by Rs 26.50 by oil companies. After a quota of six subsidized cylinders one has to buy non subsidized cylinders.
In Gujarat the non-subsidized cylinder will now cost around Rs 930. Amids protest, government had in September restricted supply of subsidized LPG to six cylinders a year.
Congress ruled states later announced that they would give three to six more subsidized cylinders through their own subsidy. The cost of non-subsidized cylinder is more than double the cost of subsidized domestic gas cylinder weighing 14.2 kg.
State-owned oil firms revise rates of non-subsidised LPG on 1st of every month based on the average imported cost and rupee-US dollar rate during the previous month.
