N Sitharaman bats for Modi in Gujarat

BJP national spokesperson Nirmala Sitharaman is in Ahmedabad on a two day visit. During a media interaction held at the BJP office, Sitharaman defended Gujarat BJP’s campaign about the injustice being done by Central government to Gujarat.
Sitharaman refused to accept that the BJP and Narendra Modi are running a negative campaign, saying that “If Gujarat CM is informing people about the discrimination the Centre has meted out; it should not be considered negative campaign.”
She was all praise for Chief Minister Narendra Modi saying that “Country’s economy is in bad shape. No new employment has been generated; at the same time the prime minister’s office has mentioned that Gujarat has generated maximum employment in the country. Gujarat is setting the trend for a sustainable overall growth. People should be informed with all these achievements of the state,”
Regarding the reason behind her visit to Gujarat, she said she is visiting media workshops organised in various zones of the state to train members of district media committee on handling media. “We are training our members of district level media committees to provide information to media persons, who would be coming from other parts of the country” said Sitharaman.
