Gujarat Pradesh Congress President Arjun Modhwadia has demanded that Chief Minister Narendra Modi should be arrested for spreading canards involving disputed Sir Creek bordering Pakistan. He has written to the Election Commission about the issue according to a statement issued by Congress late tonight.
Narendra Modi today wrote a letter to the Prime Minister that people of border areas of Gujarat had apprehensions that the government was going to give to Pakistan disputed Sir Creek. He had demanded that Gujarat should be heard before any action in this regard.
Modhwadia said that Narendra Modi created a false issue and did not spare even national security from his dirty politics. He said that this was an attempt to distract attention of people as Modi had no issue in this election.
Prime Minister’s office has dubbed Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi’s letter on the issue of Sir Creek as mischievous.
The contents of the letter and the timing of its release to the public, even before it was formally received in this office, raise questions about the motives behind its issue. The writing and release of this baseless letter by the Chief Minister of Gujarat in his “personal” capacity, a day before elections in the state, is mischievous.
