Now BJP raises issue of appointment of IB director on religious grounds

After Sir Creek and Afzal Guru, the BJP has now raised the issue of the appointment of Intelligence Bureau director made by the UPA government.
Senoir BJP leader Arun Jaitley was in Ahmedabad. At a press meet at the BJP head office, he said that the appointment of the director of the Intelligence Bureau should not be done on the basis of religion. Jaitley said that the Home Minister made statement in this regard Vadodara.
“The BJP strongly condemns the statement made by a person as senior as the Home Minister of the country. How can he ask for votes from the people saying that vote for us because we have appointed a person of a particular community as the director of the Intelligence Bureau? “ asked Jaitley.
Jaitley also raised the issue of director of the CBI saying that the UPA government is not following the recommendation to of a select committee for the process of the appointment of the CBI director. He said that as per the recommendations of the committee, a three member panel should select the CBI director.
