Heavy Voting in favour of BJP: Arun Jaitley

Senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley today said that the heavy voting in the first phase of Gujarat elections will favour the BJP.

Jaitley accounted the heavy voter turnout in the first phase to the development work done by the Gujarat government. “The people of Gujarat are happy with the development work done by the Modi government. They have come out in large numbers themselves and voted in favour of the BJP,” Jaitley said.

He also took a dig at the UPA government saying that it has not done any charity to Gujarat by giving it money. This money is the right of Gujarat. Earlier today, Congress President Sonia Gandhi had said that the Congress-led UPA government has given 50 per cent more aid to the state than erstwhile BJP-led NDA government at the centre.

Jaitley also said that the Congress does not have any issue in this election.
