Country’s top industrialists and businessmen from diverse fields and sectors were in full presence at the inaugural day of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2013.

The diverse set of personalities had only one point common in their message and that was praise for Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi.

Top industrialists including Mukesh Ambani, Ratan Tata, Adi Godrej, Anil Ambani and Anand Mahindra, and diplomats from the US, Japan and the UK, heaped praise on Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi.

"Modi dreams with his eyes open," said Anil Ambani, even calling him a "king among kings". Anand Mahindra complimented growth in the state and said: "It's now time to see a Gujarat model being replicated in China".

Not just Indians, even foreign delegates were not short of praise for Modi. A delegate from the Russian province Astrakhan wished Modi well for 2014.

This year, nearly 1,800 foreign delegates from 105 countries are attending the three-day show at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar.
