BJP to select sate unit president on April 30

The Gujarat BJP will take a call on the next president of state unit of the party on April 30.
Party spokesperson I K Jadeja said that presidents in all block-level and district-level units would be declared before that. The decision was taken at a meeting of BJP office bearers in Gandhinagar on Sunday.
Three names – RC Faldu, Purushottam Rupala and IK Jadeja – are emerging as frontrunners in the race to become next president of Gujarat BJP. The term of current BJP president RC Faldu had ended before the assembly elections, but the selection of a new president was kept on hold.
The process of appointing block-level presidents shall be finished by March 20, said Jadeja. "Once this is done, presidents in all the district units will be appointed by March 30," he added.
Also, the party will mark its foundation day on April 6 by felicitating national BJP president Rajnath Singh in Ahmedabad. It will be Singh’s first visit to the state after becoming the party president earlier this year.
It is also speculated that leaders from other parties like the Congress and GPP who switched over the BJP will be given positions in the party.
