Nine NRIs killed in road accident in Gujarat

In a tragic incident nine NRIs were killed in an accident near Surat on Monday morning.
They had come to attend a wedding and were going to Surat when the car in which they were travelling collided with a truck. The dead include four women. One person was seriously injured and was shifted to a nearby hospital.
According to police the accident took place around 11 am near Kosamba when the driver of the Sumo in which the NRI group was travelling suddenly lost control and jumped the road divider before colliding with a truck. The impact of the collision was so high that the car overturned 4-5 times and was totally crushed.
The ambulance and police had to cut open the car to bring out the dead bodies. The driver also died in the mishap. The group had come to attend a family wedding which was scheduled on December 25.
