Amit Shah pleads SC to allow him to return to Gujarat

Former Gujarat Minister of State Home Amit Shah has moved Supreme Court seeking permission to return to the state.
The SC had barred his entry in the state since October 30, 2010 pending his trial in Sohrabuddin fake encounter case.
Moving an application before the apex court on Tuesday Shah said that living outside his home state for last 16 months had caused “irreparable hardship” to him. He said that a person like him in public life cannot remain away from his constituency for long as he is deprived of the warmth, support and cooperation of his family and close relatives.
He said that his constituency which was one of the largest was deprived of its representatives for last 16 months. Shah a close aide of Chief Minister Narendra Modi was arrested by CBI in July 2010 in Sohrabuddin fake encounter case. The CBI has also made him accused in killing of Tulsi Prajapati and KauserBi, two prime witnesses. He spent over three months in Sabarmati jail.
