UPSC Civil Services Exam dates out, e-Admit card from this time

The Union Public Services Commission has issued the notification for the Civil Services Prelim exam. The exam has been scheduled for May 20th, 2012. The online Applications can be filled from 4th February 4, 2012 up to 5th March, 2012.
Candidates have to apply Online by using the website upsconline.nic.in. A fee of Rs. 50/- is to be paid for the exam by remitting the money in any Branch of SBI by Cash, or by using net banking facility or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card. Female/SC/ST/PH candidates are exempted from payment of fee.
From this year candidates shall be issued an e-Admission Certificate three weeks before the commencement of the examination. The e-Admission Certificate will be made available on the UPSC website for downloading by candidates. No Admission Certificate will be sent by post.
The number of vacancies to be filled on the result of the examination is expected to be approximately 1037. The UPSC Civil Services exam is conducted every year for recruitment into the elite services like Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, and Indian Police Service etc.
