Bajaj launches Duke 200 in India, specifications

Bajaj Auto today launched the Duke 200, a sports bike manufactured by the Austrian firm KTM. Duke 200 is the first naked bike model to be launched by KTM in India. The bike has been launched at an introductory price of Rs 1.18 Lacs ex-showroom New Delhi
Bajaj will sell the KTM bikes through its probiking showrooms across the country. At present there are 32 probiking showrooms in the country. Bajaj will also set up 40 exclusive service centres for KTM bikes. Bajaj Auto M D Rajiv Bajaj told reporters that Bajaj plans to launch at least one KTM bike model every year.
The Duke 200 has a 200 cc, Single-cylinder, 4-stroke, spark-ignition engine, liquid-cooled engine. It has 6-speed, claw shifted transmission. The Duke has a Liquid cooling system with continuous circulation of cooling liquid with water pump. The tank has a 10.5 Ltr capacity.
Maximum power is 25 Bhp @ 10000 rpm and torque is 19.2 Nm @ 8000 rpm. The top speed of the bike is 135 Km/Hr.
KTM Sportmotorcycle AG is an Austrian motorcycle manufacturer founded in 1934. In 2008 Bajaj had announced plans to develop motorcycles with KTM. Bajaj has 39.3 % share in KTM and has been consistently buying KTM shares from the open market.
