Medicall 2012 to showcase medical equipments

A three day exhibition of medical equipment will begin in Ahmedabad on Friday. The first ever exhibition by Medicall will also have a fashion show of medical apparels and special discussions on topics like six sigma and business intelligence in hospital management and health care.
This is for the first time that Medicall has organised its exhibition outside Chennai. It is organising exhibitions of medical equipment for last seven years. The eighth edition Medicall 2012 has several firsts.
A team of NID will have a special show of apparels used in healthcare industry. This is to make dresses more suited to the physical and psychological environment of the hospitals, according to Amit Sinha of NID.
Nurse call system and LED outside operation theatres are among latest equipments on show. It has some domestic use equipments, but it is mainly a B2B event.
Organisers claim that it will bring together the best in the business of ICU and Operation Theatre equipments, Refurbished equipments, Trolley, wheel chairs, Cots and other furniture, Hospital linen and laundry, Hospital charts and stationary, Office automation equipments, Printers dealing with pamphlet and file designing, Communication equipments, Medical disposables etc.
In hospital construction field there will be subjects like, Building Hospital according to NABH Standards, Designing Operation Theatre, Designing an Intensive Care Unit, Basics of Medical Gas Pipeline in Hospitals, Lighting and flooring in Hospitals, Water Treatment and Sewage treatment in Hospitals.
Private Equity Funding for Hospitals is also including in Medicall 2012.Lean Six Sigma management is a new concept in the healthcare industry where industry experts will speak about the Case Studies. Expo on Hospital Infrastructure called Archimedes will focus on new trends in building a hospital.
