Gujarat HSC Gen stream result 68.44 percent

The Gujarat secondary and higher secondary board announced the result of the HSC Gen stream today. The overall result is 68.44% which is 8.5% less than last year’s result.
The result of commerce stream is better at 86.20 % in comparison to 76.8 % of the arts stream. The KOITA centre of Patan district has got the best result with all but three students passing from the centre while BHACHAU centre is the worst performing with a mere 30.53% students clearing the exam. The result of JAMKANDORNA centre having 2135 Registered Candidates has been kept reserved.
A total of 415752 students had registered for exam out of which 409187 appeared for the exam and 280037 cleared the exam. Patan district is the best performing district with 84.16% result and Narmada district is the worst performing with 51.1% result.
There are 199 schools in the state which have got 100% result. 33 schools have got a result of less than 10%. The girls have performed better than the boys this year too with 77.55% girls clearing the exam in comparison to 62.0% boys.
a change in the trend which is seen this year is that English medium schools have performed better than Gujarati medium schools in both Science and Gen stream. The English medium schools have a overall result of 85.39% while Gujarati medium schools have 67.8% result.
