The Common Management Aptitude Test (CMAT) exam for admission in management colleges will begin from today.  The exam is being conducted by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

The CMAT exam will be conducted online.  Officials have said that the exam will be conducted in phases and it will finish on Monday. Around 20,000 students are expected to appear for the exam in the Gujarat. The state has six centres, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Rajkot, Bhavnagar and Bhuj where the exam will be conducted. The result will be declared on 13^th March.

All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) chairman has said the exam will be held again around May 17-19 as well in September 2013. All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE ) will be conducting the test thrice. Students will have the option of choosing the better score when applying to the institutes. According to official sources, the decision has been taken to accommodate students from states like Karnataka, Kerala which have come recently under AICTE.
