Modi-Joshi poster war reaches Uttar Pradesh
Gujarat Global News Network, Ahmedabad
The poster war going on in the BJP seems to spreading into the entire nation. After Gujarat, Delhi and Madhya Pradesh, posters in support of BJP’s former general secretary Sanjay Joshi have surfaced in the Uttar Pradesh.
Joshi had recently made an announcement to all party workers to not put up any posters which would spoil the party’s image. But is seems Joshi’s appeal has had little effect. The posters bearing Joshi’s picture along with BJP’s election symbol lotus have popped up at a number of places in Lucknow, the capital of UP.
The posters posed the question why one leader was being sacrificed while another was being honoured. “Ek ka balidan, ek ko samman. Kya yahi hai Bhajapa ki reeti, neeti aur pehchaan,” another poster read “What is the compulsion for BJP...Please one leader and demand resignation from another leader,”
UP BJP president Laxmi Kant Bajpai said party did not take cognizance of anonymous posters.
“The party does not take cognizance of posters not having the name, designation and address of a person getting it printed or the name and address of the printer,” he said.
Earlier posters had appeared at various places in Ahmedabad and at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi. Posters in support of Joshi had also been put up in Bhopal.
