Rebel BJP leader Keshubhai Patel has kept up his attack on Chief Minister Narendra Modi. In his latest attack, the former CM said that Modi holds “monopoly over lying”.

Referring to tall claims made by Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, Patel said that, “One person has a monopoly over lying to people and misguiding them and you know this person very well.”  The BJP veteran was at a public meeting organized by Gujarat unit of Sampurna Vyavastha Parivartan Manch at Town Hall in Ahmedabad.

Patel also took potshots at Modi’s Sadbhavna Mission, terming it as a personal poll gimmick. Patel questioned, “If Modi’s new-found ‘Sadbhavna’ was for the common people, he would have displayed it earlier when there was a need.”

Patel also called Modi’s claims of bringing Narmada water a lie. He said that that it was only after he met former prime minister Atal Behari Vajpayee and made a request that Vajpayee gave an approval for raising the height of dam.

Patel asked the public to change the present corrupt government. Keshubhai said that “unless we change the present administration there are chances of social break-down in the state”.

Former chief minister Suresh Mehta was also present at the function. Making a reference to the various festivals being organized by the state government, Mehta commented that Modi has policy of keeping people involved in festivals so that they don’t get time to see “the deteriorating governance. “
