Keshubhai Patel promises unemployment allowance for youth

Former Chief Minister Keshubhai Patel who recently launched Gujarat Parivartan Party is out to woo different sections of people through attractive schemes of allowances and concessions.
In his package II, Keshubhai Patel today announced unemployment and other incentives for Maldharis and tribal and others, if voted to power in elections to be held this year.
Last week he had promised cheaper fuel by reducing VAT and subsidy in LPG and measures like with withdrawal of criminal cases against farmers charged with power theft. He said that the third package aimed at urban areas will be announced soon.
Giving details of the scheme he said that those who are registered with the employment exchange for one year and have not got job will get allowance for next two years. Unemployed with HSC qualification will get Rs 1500 per month while unemployed graduates and post graduates would get Rs 2000 per month.
He said that his government had provided for 80 per cent jobs in a company to local people, but Narendra Modi had just ignored and so youth of Gujarat was not getting job. He said that Modi’s such policies made Nano run, but pockets of youth were empty. He also promised training to youth for self-employment and help of Rs 10,000 for starting their own business. Government will not take allowance or help back, he clarified.
Keshubhai also promised registration of land of maldharis used for keeping cattle and growing grass. They will also be allowed land for this purpose with a condition that they will have to use it for this purpose only.
Tribal will get food coupon of Rs 800 for each family. This will be in addition to present schemes, he said. Keshubhai said that this is because tribal are victim of malnutrition. Â
