Sants are dancing to Modi’s tune: Vaghela

Leader of opposition in the State Assembly Shankersinh Vaghela today said that Chief Minister Narendra Modi was using money power to project himself as Prime Ministerial candidate.
To a question about probability of declaring Modi as PM candidate during Mahakumbh mela the Congress leader said that it was unfortunate that religious leaders were indulging in politics.
“The sants and mahants were talking due to money. They are “sarkari sants” (government saints) who were dancing to BJP’s tune”, he said. The BJP was emulating US system where president’s name is declared before the elections.
Vaghela said that state was reeling under severe water crisis and the situation of farmers was bad. There is no drinking water and Narmada water was being used for recreational facilities in big cities.
He said that Congress will strongly oppose the taxes levied by BJP in municipal corporations of the state. He said that several issues in Governor’s address were totally false and Congress would expose it during the forthcoming budget session.
