Modi challenges union government to compete with Gujarat

Continuing his tirade against against the center, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi has challenged Union Government and Prime Minister Manmohansingh to compete with Gujarat in development. Modi said that Gujarat would not dance to the tunes of Delhi Saltanat.

He assured the people of Gujarat that Gujarat will certainly defeat Union Government. He lambasted Centre for drastic price rise and said “I have adopted the sole agenda of development. We have achieved the new heights of development. We are utilizing public fund carefully and responsibly as I am the custodian of the public exchequer and not allow anybody to misuse it,” he added.

Attributing the development of Gujarat to six crore Gujaratis he said, Gujarat’s development was solely based on unity, harmony, peace and integrity of 6 crore people of Gujarat and Gujarat and development has become the synonymous to each other. Curfew and riots have now become past and Gujarat has earned a unique identity in the world. 

Modi said the tremendous development that has been carried out in Gujarat for the past ten years has not only changed the entire scenario but also changed the mindset of people. Providing drinking water through hand pumps has become a past in Gujarat, he added. 

He said, Gujarat government has established science stream schools and Industrial Training Institutes in every taluka of state. Tribal children have become pilots and are flying aero planes. Tribal peasants are growing cashew nuts in tribal districts like Valsad and Dangs.  

Modi announced a development package of Rs. 1100 crore for the all round development of Valsad district. Modi had Sadbhavna fast in Valsad today.
