Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today demanded that in view of the Supreme Court judgment in 2G case Prime Minister Manmohan should resign. Speaking at the end of Sadbhavna Mission in Kutch, Modi said that 2G scam has emerged as the biggest scandal in the history of independent India.

Referring to the Court directive for proceedings against Chidambaram in the trial court, he said that the government was trying to save not only Chidambaram, but others also. This is because this would ultimately bring top leaders in the dock.

In his characteristic style, Modi made audience endorse his demand that Manmohan Singh had no right to stay in power even for a minute. The Court order is very clear about corruption in 2G case, he said. I am not making these demands on assumptions, but on the facts of the SC judgment, Modi said.

To feed handful of vested interest, he said, people in Delhi government were looting the country. He said that he was not allowing them in Gujarat which was very frustrating for them.

Like in all districts, Modi announced a package of Rs 2165 crore for the development of the border district of Kutch.
