Gujarat Global News Network, Ahmedabad
Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi wrapped up his statewide Sadbhavna mission in the pilgrim town Ambaji on Sunday. In his concluding speech he claimed that within 24 hours Gujarat will be stormed by anti-Gujarat campaign by people who have launched Gujarat bashing campaign for the last years.
Obviously, Modi was referring to his ten year rule in Gujarat trying to strike a sympathy note. His remark was an indirect reference to the hearing in the court on Monday about the report of the Special Investigation Team which is said to have given clean chit to Modi in post Godhra riots.
In all Modi organized 33 Sadbhavna fasts in the state during past more than five months. Congress organized parallel programmes titled Satkarms. While Modi used programmes a platform for Congress bashing, Congress tried to make this an opportunity to attack Modi and his government.
In Ambaji Modi who spoke in Hindi said that he himself was quite surprised by the success of his Sadbhavna mission. Modi claimed that Congress was not able to digest the success of his Sadbhavna mission and so it had launched a mission to spread canards against him and his government in Gujarat.
He described Congress as power hungry party saying that he was concerned about the Khushi(happiness) of six crore people while Congress men were worried about Khurshi only.Lot of development was taking place in Gujarat, but he was not satisfied with it. He said that he wanted to do more.
