ID proof necessary for traveling in AC coaches in railways

Now passengers traveling in AC classes will have to carry identity proof with them. The decision will come in force from February 15 in all trains across the country.
This has been made to prevent misuse of tickets.
One passenger in a group will be required to carry the ID proof which could be voter I card, pancard, driving license, passport, bank credit card with laminated photo, student I card etc. Till now only passengers with e-tickets or tatkal tickets needed ID proof.
But with increasing incidents of misuse of tickets like transfer, black marketing and touts Railways has taken the decision.
