Central Bank of India today launched a special scheme CENT VAYUSHAKTI for promoting a defence salary package. The scheme offers end range of banking facilities to the serving and retired Air Force personnel across the country. Bank had earlier introduced similar scheme for the Navy.

Indian Coast Guard Ship Rajshree, the first in the series of eight Inshore Patrol Vessels (IPV) was commissioned by Director General Indian Coast Guard, Vice Admiral MP Muralidharan. ICGS Rajshree would be based at Chennai under the administrative and operational control of the Commander, Coast Guard Region (East).
