Dr. Abdul KalamFormer President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam inaugurated the year-long celebrations to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda at Mahatma Mandir, in Gandhinagar. A large gathering of students from across the state was present to listen to the former President. Many ministers from the state cabinet along with Chief Minister Narendra Modi were aslo present at the function.

Hindi litterateur Ambashankar is no more

Ambashankar Nagar, the man known for promotion of Hindi in Gujarat died today. He had set up Hindi Department of Gujarat University and was also President of Hindi Sahitya Akademi.

Tinnitus a disease popularly known as “ringing in the ear” is spreading in India at a rate of seven to eight percent. More than 10 per cent Indian suffer from Tinnitus in which people hear abnormal sound, noise ringing in their ear without any sound source near them.
