Gujarat Vidyapith Vice Chancellor Sudarshan Iyengar feels that all Indian languages should have a common Devnagari script. This will bring all Indian languages closer and learning of different Indian languages will become smoother and faster.

Gujarat Vidyapith today held special convocation for the students of international course on Gandhian non violence. Ten students were given certificates by the Chancellor of Vidyapith Narayan Desai. For the first time Vidyapith held special convocation.

A Web-bibliography of works of, and by, Tagore has been launched. Apart from works by Tagore, literary criticism and other works on Tagore published in India or abroad have been included in the bibliography. This is one of the projects to mark the 150th Birth Anniversary of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore.
