A Look into Narendra Modi’s new website

The Narendra Modi’s site just got a makeover. The CM who has a healthy following on the internet now has a swanky new look to his website narendramodi.in. New features are added to the site which allow for interaction with the visitors on the site.

Visitors are greeted on the Home page with a quote at the top from Modi besides his portrait and his signature. Right at the top one can see the options to share the site and its articles on popular social networking sites like facebook and twitter.

The new additions to the site are the “You said It section” and the “Citizen Journalism” section. The “You said It” section allows the viewers to post comments by logging into the site or through SMS. But it comes with the note that the comments will be moderated before posting on the site.

The “Citizen Journalism” section is there to provide normal citizens a chance to be the journalists & tell the truth amongst a wider public through the platform of this website. But reading the articles in the sections, there is not sign of Journalism but you can see the documentation of praises being showered by the “followers”.

The other functions from the older version of the site like inviting the CM to a function, writing to him and seeking an appointment from him have been integrated into the new site.

Overall what can be said about the site is that “it’s the same stuffing with a new packing”.
