Get ready shell out more for choosing the vehicle registration number of your choice.  The state transport dept has increased the rates for allotting vehicle numbers as per the choice of people.

For two wheelers, the fees will be Rs 1000, which is double than the previous amount of Rs 500. In the case of four wheelers, Rs 5000 will be charged to the customers for allotting a number of their choice.

The state transport department has also announced the segmenting of high demand numbers into categories like Golden and silver category numbers. These numbers will have a base price, and in case of more than one requests for the same number, they will be auctioned and given to the highest bidder.
