Amateur filmmakers to battle out at Ahmedabad Film Project

The second edition of Ahmedabad Film Project (AFP) is here. The filmmaking competition is a chance for amateurs to make a film over the weekend, away from huff-buff schedule, and showcase it to people around and get awarded.
Last year edition got good response, with more than 600 participants from across the country. In this year’s edition, participants will be given 48 hours to make a film on a theme. The teams then shoot in next 48 hours and submit the film. The winning films are screened at a multiplex on next Sunday.
The Jury comprises of Rajesh Mapuskar – Director, Ferrari ki Sawaari and Komal Nahta – Film Critic and Trade Analyst. Registrations for the contest are open. Competition starts on 28th September.
The Opening Guest of this year’s AFP is Shoojit Sircar – Director, Vicky Donor.
This year's edition also has a few more additions apart from 48hour competition like
1. A 5-day long film festival including Independent Cinema/Indian Cinema/Popular films/Films for causes open for all
2. Workshops on filmmaking with nationally renowned filmmakers open for all
3. Panel Discussion on “Non-conventional ways of Marketing” open for all
4. Exhibition of Cinema photographs by Fawzan Husain open for all.
