Auto rickshaw fare increased in Ahmedabad

Gujarat government today announced increase in auto rickshaw fare in Ahmedabad. The increase is only in minimum fare, a media release issued by the government clarified.
Transport Minister Nitin Patel said that the minimum fare has been increased from Rs 12 to Rs 13. He said that the other fare structure, however, remains same.
Last month, the government had raised the minimum fare from Rs 11 to Rs 12 and there was overall increase in the tariff. He said that the increase would come in force from February 15.
Interestingly, auto operators in the city have already been moving with new tariff card!.
