Mobile movie making competition at Kankaria carnival 2011

A mobile phone with a camera and a Facebook account are all you need to be able to win the Mobile Movie competition at Kankaria carnival this year.
And there are handsome prizes to be won too.
The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has introduced Mobile Movie Making competition at the Kankaria carnival to be held this year, from December 25-30. It is part of various programmes like Wall Painting and Senior Citizen Sports Competition to be held this year at Kankaria.
Participants in the Movie making competition need to shoot their movies in 3GP or MP4 formats and upload them to youtube with the title of KC2011.The duration of the movie should not be more than 3 mins.
Once the movie is uploaded they have to share it on the Facebook Page of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. The movies can be shared between December 25 and January 5. According to the details on the AMC website, the movie which gets the most number of likes on Facebook will be judged the winner.
The first prize winners will get a cash prize of Rs 15,000. While the second and third prize winners will get Rs 10,000 and Rs 5,000 respectively.
It is noteworthy that city police officials had previously banned the entry of cell phones this at the carnival this year. This ban has been lifted now and people will be allowed to carry the cell-phones to the carnival. As per the estimates of AMC, 20 Lac people are expected to visit the carnival this year.
