The state BJP plans to celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday in a grand way. Apart from health camps and Swachhata drive the party plans to have Modi app launched in more than 5 lakh phones. Modi’s birthday is on Sept.17
Modi will celebrate his birthday with his mother Hira Ba in Gandhinagar. On the same day, he will visit Limkheda in Dahod district to inaugurate an irrigation scheme and will address a gathering of tribal people. In the evening, he will take part in a Divyang (persons with disabilities) meeting in Navsari before leaving for Delhi from Surat.
State BJP President Jitu Vaghani said that “BJP wants to spread awareness of the ‘good’ work done by the party and the PM through the app.” The app has also been downloaded by top BJP leaders during a social media seminar a week ago.

The move is seen as party’s strategy to reach out to large number of voters in view of Assembly elections slated to be held next year.
