Indian Institute of Management has increased the fee of its two year Post Graduate Programme to Rs 21 lakh. This also includes Food and Agri Business Management course. The decision was taken at a meeting of the Board of Governors of IIM held on Saturday before the annual convocation of the IIMA.
The increase is 7.7 percent over the present fee and will be applicable to the batch of 2017-19. IIMA had increased its PGP fee last year by 5.4 percent to 19.5 lakh. In a media release the Institute has attributed the fee hike to general increase in inflation and seventh pay commission.
This fee covers costs associated with tuition, accommodation, course material, library, placement services, and IT resources. The Institute says that it is most liberal of all IIMs in providing financial aid to students. In 2016-17 one third of its students had received financial aid. IIMA is committed to ensure that no capable student is denied entry for reason of lacking financial wherewithal.
