Zakia Jafri was given the investigation report by the SC appointed Special Investigation team today. Jafri, wife of ex-MP Ehsan Jafri who was murdered along with 62 other at the Gulbarg Society is the main complainant in the case. The report has not found any evidence against the 62 accused including Chief Minister Narendra Modi in the Gulbarg Society Massacre case.
RS Jamwar, lawyer appearing for the SIT told media persons that the report along with all documents relating to the investigation conducted by the SIT have been given to Jafri.
The Metropolitan court has also asked Jafri to an application on May 10, the next date of hearing, if she feels that documents given to her are incomplete or there are any discrepancies in the report. Meanwhile Jafri’s counsel has said that they need time to study the report. They will ask the court for two months time to study the report and make further arguments.
The 541 page report has 68 volumes, 2,200 annexures, 25 CDs and 89-page index. The document also includes an independent report filed by amicus curiae Raju Ramachandran in this case.
