Gujarat Global News Network, Ahmedabad

The city police has devised a novel way to punish traffic rules offenders.

They will not be given fuel!!

At a meeting with petrol dealers the traffic police devised the new way according to which from November 1 those vehicle owners would not be given fuel who violate traffic rules. At the meting it was decided to create awareness about this by placing posters and placards at petrol pumps and other places.

The rules for which the vehicles would be checked include valid driving license, no dark films in four wheelers, helmet for two wheelers, number plates according to rules and police instruction manual in rickshaw.

This would help maintain traffic rules and would also check theft and robbery incidents specially by rickshaw drivers, ACP traffic said. He said that the petrol pump dealers association has assured full co-operation and they are firm not to give fuel to anyone breaking the rules.
