Members of Rabari community on Wednesday staged dharna outside the Sardar Vallabhbhai international airport here to protest against the visit of Bollywood stars Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh who came here to promote their new file “Ramleela”.
The stars could not come out of the airport as a huge crowd had gathered shouting slogans. The community is protesting against some dialogues in the film which show them in a bad light. The film’s release has also been challenged in the High Court.
The airport police asked for more staff and later the stars were taken to their destination amidst tight security. The protesting group claims that the film attempts to create trouble between Rabari and Rajput community. The fact is that both the communities are living peacefully but the film shows completely different picture.
The trailer of the film shows that guns are openly available in Nakhatrana town which is not true.
