Asaram’s son issues advertisements in paper, says he is innocent

Gujarat Global News Network, Ahmedabad

Narayan Sai, son of Asaram has given advertisements in local newspapers claiming that he was innocent and will not run away.

The advertisement said that complaints against Sai were fabricated. Meanwhile, his lawyer will apply for bail in Surat court.

After two sisters filed complaint of sexual assault and rape against the father-son duo Narayan Sai went into hiding. The police has even issued a look out notice for him and his mother and sister. Surat police had served notices to various ashrams in Gujarat regarding the case.

The whereabouts of Sai are not known to police and the advertisements don't say anything about where he is holed up. "Our client has not gone away and will not run away," the advertisements, issued through his advocate Gautam Desai, said.

The advertisements alleged that the FIR against him was fabricated and facts in it were manipulated by the complainant. It further said that his client will take a legal recourse to protect himself.

Police had on Wednesday summoned Sai to appear before them by slapping a notice on him, in connection with the sexual assault case lodged against him and his father by two sisters.

On Wednesday police along with the complainant took video of the entire ashram. The girl was present all along and she took police to all the places which she has mentioned in her complaint.
