Vipul Chaudhary Chairman of The Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) has got a stay from Gujarat High Court on meeting of the Board of Federation called to oust Chaudhary.
The Board meeting to be held on Saturday had to take up a resolution expressing no confidence against Chaudhary. In his petition in the Gujarat High Court, Chaudhary has contended that the move was unconstitutional as there was no no- confidence provision in the laws regulating the cooperative sector.
While granting stay on the Board meeting of Saturday, Gujarat High Court has fixed further hearing for November 11.
The move of no confidence signed by 14 of 17 members of GCMMF is said to be a political move to oust Chaudhary for his growing proximity to Congress. Chaudhary is presently with BJP , but he aspired to become chairman of the NDDB in place of Amrita Patel whose term has expired.
