The Supreme Court on Friday rejected a plea of Asaram seeking a direction restraining media from broadcasting stories projecting him in bad light.
He said that some stories projected him as “Dracula” which was not proper.
A division bench headed by Chief Justice P Sathasivam refused to entertain the plea and remarked that it cannot stop media from publishing information which it got from police and other people.
In his plea Asaram claimed that ne was being victimized by reporting against him. The court should pass a direction against media, he said. He was arrested by Jodhpur police on the charges of sexual abuse of a minor girl.
