Anticipatory bail plea of godman Narain Sai rejected

Surat Court today rejected anticipatory bail application of godman Narain Sai who has been evading arrest for last two months. He is son of godman Asaram who is already in Jodhpur jail for another sexual offence.

 Last week the Court had declared Narain Sai a wanted and announced reward of Rs five lakh for information about him. Two sewaks of his Ashram were also declared wanted with reward of Rs one lakh each.

Meanwhile, Surat police today slapped a notice on Asaram's ashram here asking it to surrender at the earliest.

His estranged wife Jankai has told police that Sai had fathered son from his aide Jamuna. This was earlier told by Ganga sister of Jamuna. Janki has already moved for divorce.

Surat Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana had earlier claimed that Narayan Sai had sexual relations with other women. Asthana also told media that Narayan Sai is a habitual sex offender and that he used to indulge in such acts regularly.
